I am NOT a loafer!

First post of the new year. Been procrastinating much. Anyway, i am just here to rant.

Being a self employed with flexible working hours, I have my fair share of going back to the office, but since i do not have a fix table in the office yet, i am currently working from home.

Honestly, I am never the type of person with good discipline. It actually took me quite a while to get into the groove of working from home productively. If you work at home you know how hard it is to maintain focus and get real work done. There are just too many wonderful things to pull my attention, whether it's the laundry that needs to be done, the new dress that has just launched on a blog shop that i have to check out, or simply the very inviting bed that is calling me for naps.

All these while when working from home, i get to know myself more. Like i am most productive between the timing of 1pm to 7pm. I have colorful post-it notes all over the laptop and table lamp to remind me of appointments and tasks, and a mini bar of chocolate actually helps to brighten up my afternoon and keep me going if i am having a bad day. If i really cannot focus at home i would actually bring out all my work and pop by the nearest cafe.

I am not perfect yet but i am constantly learning.

I am aware that many of my friends think that i am a slacker as i get to sleep until 10:30am most of the days. Not needing to join the peak hours. Have overdose of coffee and get down to work in my comfy tee shirt and shorts and taking breaks as and when i like. Or work for that fraction of hour and spend the rest of the day watching dramas and sleeping.

If i am doing any of the above mentioned, i am doing it at my own expense. Salaried worker is guaranteed a paycheck every month even if one does not work as hard as one could. Self employed working from home has much more pressure and motivation because our paycheck is not guaranteed. If we do not perform, the worse that can happen, we will not get paid. It's just that simple.

What i would like to say is, as a self-employed, yes, i stay at home all day when i do not have appointments, but i work as hard, if not harder, than every one of those salaried workers. I am not a loafer.

Merry Christmas!!! + Beauty products

I am not too late, am i? I did remember there is twelve days of Christmas.

All had a nice celebration? I enjoyed shopping for Christmas presents this year and i have made the effort to wrap all the gifts myself. Well as Christmas eve was my last day, we had a department gift exchange. We played evil Santa and had a good laugh.

24th December Christmas eve. Left home before sunrise to have a farewell breakfast. Woke up at 5.30am just because we all have to reach at 7.30am! LOL!

A tad boring for me this year as i didn't plan any parties. But somehow i dressed up my nails and bought new care products these 2 months.

Sally Hansen's Nail Strips (Pink polka dots)

THIS IS A RARE FIND! in local drug stores i mean. The stock is so low, i visited quite a number of branches before i spot this at one of the Sally Hansen's counter. First timer at using nail strips but the steps are so easy, it was a breeze. Did both hands within 15 mins and it lasted me 3 weeks! It's easy to remove with nail polish remover and it does not stain the nails. Totally LOVE it!
Guess what, there's more designs on Gmarket! ;D

L'Oreal Paris 3D Nail Stickers

Before i really shop on Gmarket, i got the L'Oreal 3D nail stickers after my pink dots wore off. Took me quite a while to figure this out. Have to buy a buff separately as it's does not come along with the strips. As it's 3 layers thick, it's quite difficult to apply and buffing the edges off is a real headache. After one full week, the edges of the nail strips loses it's adhesiveness. It's like going to drop off any minute now.

Unless those one or two days functions/parties/events, i doubt i will purchase again.

Skin Food Rice Mask wash-off

First Skin Food product and i love it instantly. Will use this scrub every other day. It really does whiten and moisturizes the skin leaving it feeling soft and smooth, no sticky feeling. After using this for 2 weeks, my skin feels smoother and also slightly clearer.

Dirty Works - Buff your stuff body scrub

Was attracted by the sexy lady packaging 2 months back while i was shopping at Sasa for a body scrub. Been using this twice a week and my back acne problems have since improved a lot! Now i have a smooth back. Haha. It works okay on my sensitive skin, leave it feeling clean and moisturized. Also i quite like the relaxing fruity smell.

The Body Shop - Tea tree oil

Newest addition to my beauty product. Got this on Christmas eve! The big red ugly acne on my forehead have since gone. Totally flattened! How cool! (okay it took 3 days)
No wonder it's the best seller.
Little note. The mint is a bit overwhelming if using on pimples near temple, eyes or nose.

Etude House Missing U hand cream

I know right! Pink (Eagel Owl - Very Berry) is cute but i got Kakapo (green apple scented) instead. It smells exactly like apple candy! It's slightly oily when you first apply but after it was absorbed, hands feels smooth. I always apply before i began to mug, nope, my pen has yet to slide off my hand. HAHA!

Well boring isn't it? No food pictures..

Welcome to my life!!! :D

Rushing. Sigh.

Surprisingly I woke up rather early on a Saturday morning (usually I sleep until noon) and decides that I shoud update this space a lil' before I start studying for my paper which is on the 17th.

Realized I have been sighing a lot lately. Every morning it's my natural instinct to snooze the alarm when it goes off at 6:30am but my eyes always springs open the very next minute or so. Then the first thing that comes to mind "*sigh* I have to OT again today.." after,  I'll start my day rushing, from going to work till the end of the day (mostly reach home after 9pm) - that explains why I leave my sleeping for weekends.

All those crap that you've just read, I'm just ranting hahaha!

Alright this is my first blog post using my Note2. I doubt I'll be able to rearrange the photos. But all are nice food that I've had within these 2 to 3 weeks (?) From Old Town to LENAS and some pretzel snack I got from cold storage.

Ending abruptly again. Bye!

My Firsts on 11 November 2012 (Part 2)

Anime Festival Asia 2012!

Went on the very last day on 11/11/12. Bought a sword in OnePiece and gotten myself cat ears!
It was my first but i am sure i will be going again next year!

Nyan~!

The Fat Cat Bistro.
This place was instantly loved. The crews are friendly and the food is good. Reasonable price as well. They serve North India, Thai and Western cuisines. Just our luck that the India cuisine counter was closed on the day of my visit. Had thai's pineapple fried rice, soft shell crab and western's calamari rings. Pineapple rice was just to my liking! except that they added Chinese sausages which makes is a little weird haha. Soft shell crabs are sweet and crispy and the calamari rings are HUGE! Each deep fried finger food comes with their own sauces.. MUST TRY!
Oh one thing, it's non air conditioned so i recommend casual dressing yea haha!

Wimbly Lu (Next to The fat Cat Bistro)

Hopped over to have dessert and tea after dinner. Okay my photos dont do justice to this lovely place. The shop is easily spotted with the classic beetle parked right outside and the interior decos are great. I love the see through glass ceiling. Rather romantic especially at night (i went there at around 9plus). Had their lava chocolate cake, which i think was quite good, and i had a pot of english breakfast tea. Quite a comfortable place to just hang out..

Shall end the post with my random pink Polka Dot nails! :D

November 2012 (Part 1)

Haven been updating for a very long time, therefore i am going to blog it into two parts. Part 1 - mainly my new gadgets and Part 2 - AFA 2012. Trying hard to recall as much as i can but some events are really too far apart for me to describe so will dump in a lot of photos.. So please bear with me and stay tune(:

Don't know why but all direct uploaded photos turned out to be like this (below):

Figured that in order for my photos to turn out nicely on this blog i have to upload it to Picasa via Dopbox.. Did i mention that i got a Samsung Note 2? Prefer Titanium grey but it was out-of-stock.

Gotten an Instax 7s Mini as a present. Went online to purchase it's films and lens.

Just laid back afternoon at Starbucks. Nothing much hahaha! But i had my favorite peanut butter stack!!!

O'Learys Bar & Grill (Singapore Flyer)

Went there for dinner on an impromptu account. Ambiance was good and the interior was interesting. Walls of the restaurant was covered with sports photos and the televisions were playing basketball / soccer / football games.. There are outside sittings as well with nice scenery. Wine was good, service was good, it's just the main course. Slightly pricey and not fantastic at all. Perhaps i may go back again, but more for chill-out and drinks..

Xian De Lai ( Personal pot steamboat ) before watching Ah Boys to Men weeks ago.

Late dinner at PS's Fruit Paradise with colleagues after OT.
