I'm a SK-II fan . Small Changes

I got my first introductory set of SK-II about two months ago after i returned from the trip to Taiwan. I was quite skeptical to try it at first due to the comments that once stop using, the skin will be worse than before or some even say that this is a product for older skin. After much research and reading through reviews, i decided that i will give it a try.

Guess the result varies from individuals.

Pardon the raw photo. Me without makeup. Two months since i have started using the Facial Treatment Essence, you can see from the photo that there's this glow from my face under lighting or even sunlight. Other than giving me glowing skin, i also observed the below:

- Helped other skin care products absorb better ( whitening lotion / acne cream )
- Skin is moisturized and less oily ( i have oily T-tones)
- Acnes heal faster and scar is much more lighter ( although it does not prevent acnes from forming )
- Waking up to smoother and softer skin everyday

Since the first bottle is almost finishing, went to replenish on Sunday. Persuaded Vin to try the men's version and so we got the His&Her set (S$392) because i think it's quite a good buy as compared to just purchasing the Facial Treatment Essence solely (S$233), also i became SK-II's member! Oh i even got the StemPower essence and lotion samples to try before i decide if i want it :D

I am loving my skin and this product even more!

Before i end, these are the changes i have done for the new year.
I am back to bangs, again and i took courage to shave off the arch of my brows for thick and straight Korean brows! Hope i look younger now! Haha!

This will be my last post of 2013.

There's many ups and downs and many first time. Although there's no breakthrough for my career but i still had a wonderful year.

Stay tuned for my first post in 2014 for my New Year's resolution, goals and also look back.

Good Bye 2013! Thank you for this unforgettable year, the memories will be kept forever!

Merry Christmas 2013!

One week before Christmas, went Singapore Night Safari with my family for the Mystica Wildlife Wonderland. Still cannot believe that mummy suggested this. Haha!
Didn't have much photos as we forgot to charge the camera battery and it was raining that night so we only took one tram ride, plus NO flashlight allowed! We still had fun, nevertheless.

Two weeks before Christmas, went for a dinner gathering with my besties. Now i'm gonna reveal what I've given and received for the gift exchange. Still remember I blogged about the $20 budget? :D

Old school coasters (S$18.90) for the only guy in my group as he always have friends over at his house.

For my ladies, Etude House alphabet masks (S$19.90/box) in their own name!

In exchange i got the following..

This was our first gift exchange despite being friends for about 13 years thus it was very fun, sweet and at the same time heartwarming.

I had a very memorable Christmas this year with my family and friends, will definitely be looking forward to more of these outing and gathering. (:

Movie Preview - Delivery Man

Won a pair of preview tickets from the Delivery Man contest via one of the advertisement on my blog two days before Christmas. So my program on Boxing Day was to watch Delivery Man!
It's a light-hearted movie showing about family bonds, support and love which i find it very heartwarming to watch especially during Christmas season.

This is the story of affable underachiever David Wozniak, whose mundane life is turned upside down when he finds out that he fathered 533 children through sperm donations he made twenty years earlier. In debt to the mob, rejected by his pregnant girlfriend, things couldn't look worse for David when he is hit with a lawsuit from 142 of the 533 twenty-somethings who want to know the identity of the donor. As David struggles to decide whether or not he should reveal his true identity, he embarks on a journey that leads him to discover not only his true self but the father he could become as well.

Delivery Man will be in cinemas on 1 Jan 2014.

Christmas Shopping

December has always been my favorite month because of Christmas! From the first weekend of December, there's Christmas sales every where and people are planning for Christmas dinners, parties and year end gatherings.  Due to early celebrations, we did our gift shopping last weekend. All presents are nicely wrapped and cards written!

My first dinner and gift exchange will happen TONIGHT! Cannot wait to meet up with my besties!

There's always a budget when it comes to gift exchange in office or group gathering, nothing new this year. We still stick to $10/$20 per person rule. Inflation is one thing, but i surprisingly found nice gifts within the said budget.

Other than the usual mugs, photo frames, organizers, water bottle (like seriously?), towels or even handkerchief (?!) I found quite a lot of nice beauty/skincare products and thank God that majority of the receivers are ladies!

You can see from the photo below that i shopped at Etude House. It is one of my favorite place when it comes to picking a gift. Been spending more than $100 on Christmas gift itself at Etude House for two consecutive years and so I signed up for their membership on Sunday.

I am ready for Christmas! Are you?! :D

McDonaldland Characters Plushie December 2013

I got my first McDonaldLand character plushie last night, what about you?

Although will not be collecting all as i do not have space to keep them but i am sure i want Grimace and Officer Big Mac! In additional when you purchase any of these plushies, 10 cents get donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore.

Mark the dates for your favourite character or collect them all by end of this year!

3DS: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

I began on a new quest a week ago. I finally laid my hands on MH3! Now, i am aware that this is not a new game but I am a new 3DSXL owner! Heard many raving about it's game interface. True enough the graphic is remarkably good for a handheld console. The controls are a little awkward, there's no friendly fire (your guild mates can hit you and cause you damages during quests) and the bosses does not have health bar, but you will get use to all these. Overall a very good game!

Please pardon the ugly photos. It was a Whatsapp snapshot that i sent to Vin. I never thought that it will be use on one of my blog posts.
Anyway i am open to any 3DS games recommendation! Drop me a comment or email okay :D

[Edited]

Alright i think you deserve better photos than the Whatsapp snapshots hence i retook the photos using my NX1000. It's always my room lighting that is hindering the photo shoot. FYI we bought the wrong light bulb and my room's light is in warm yellow (orange) now. Waiting for the filament to snap but somehow Philips' light bulbs can last pretty long. Sigh.

我的黑毛毛: Sunday

Let me introduce to all of you! Our new baby black-banded syrian girl, Sunday! We got her unexpectedly last rainy Sunday and that is how she got her name. She's been adapting well in her new environment. Totally tamed and toilet trained. So right now we have two hamsters!

Before i end this ultra short post, here is a picture of her sleeping in my palm. I will keep you updated on her status every now and then.

Good Night all!

2nd box of 我的美丽日记 My Beauty Diary masks!

(This is not an advertorial)

Photo taken from My Beauty Diary SG Facebook page

Still remember the all in one box 我的美丽日记 My Beauty Diary masks with the anniversary designs that I've brought back from Taiwan and blogged about? Blog post HERE!

One good news to myself and all My Beauty Diary masks lovers! You can finally get it in Singapore! Comes with 2 different sets, the 2013 All-In-One Gift set and the 10th Anniversary Gift set!

I happily purchased the 10th Anniversary Limited Edition set last night as i am left with only 6 pieces from the "All in one" set which i got in Taiwan previously. But unlike the previous box, this entire box comes in super cute designs by Taipei's '0416x1024! It also says the masks provides solutions for dryness, acne, large pores and wrinkles, with complimentary of their NEWEST masks Imperial Bird Nest and Coix Seed (which i am not so sure if the entire box of either one is available in Singapore yet).

I have tried the Coix Seed masks from the previous box i got in Taiwan. It really brightens up the skin after application and the the mask smells like barley! Haha! Yet to try the imperial bird nest one though. Cant wait! Guess after all these, the next I'm gonna purchase will be their Royal Jelly Masks! :D

One more thing before i end this post. I am aware that there are fake Beauty Diary masks going around in the market.

After the incident which i bought my first box of FAKE My Beauty Diary masks at *Scape FLEA market (cost me S$10), i always purchase mine from local stores like Wastons or Guardian. There's also blogs and reviews online to teach you how to differentiate between the authentic and fake ones. So beware okay!

Have a wonderful Sunday all! Need to order mac for my banana pie now! BYE!

Post-Taiwan trip + Batam Day trip

Have you all read about my Taiwan trip yet? If not, the links are all here:

Read the previous Taiwan Trip post here:  ( Day 1 / Day 2 - Part One / Two / Day 3 - Part One / Two / Day 4 )

Time flies, it has been 3 weeks since I came back from that trip. Wondering when will be my next overseas trip. Anyway, i received the photo from Facebook that our Taiwan friend cum tour guide, Jimmy, posted. Was taken before we board the plane.

This photo was a last minute thing and was taken by someone's mobile phone. Although the photo's not very sharp but well, this will be a photo filled with fun and memories for me, at least.
Another thing, i was telling you girls about the post card that i posted out from Taiwan, or did i not? Here's my wishes to myself and pardon the magazine. Haha!

Oh and my first Batam trip...

Vin randomly decided that we should head to Batam for A&W, also the fact that i have not been there yet, so we booked our 12pm slot ferry tickets online at 2am!

That morning, we woke up very early and headed Vivo City to run some errands and breakfast at Harbourfront Centre's Wang Cafe before we board the ferry. I do not know if i will have motion sickness as bad as the one i had on the flight to Taiwan, to play safe, i purchased med from local pharmacy.

Now i know why i slept so much on the journey back from Taiwan! All motion sickness med causes drowsiness! I was rather tired from waking up so early, plus the med, i was very sleepy by the time i boarded the ferry. One photo before i doze off!

Heard many stories of girls going crazy shopping at Batam. So naturally i presumed the shopping malls there are like Malaysia's KSL City Mall or Taiwan's 新光三越 Shin Kong Mitsukoshi or even Singapore's 313 or Nex.

But i was wrong! Perhaps, we went to the wrong malls. I was quite disappointed that i got nothing from that 2 hours of "shopping". Vin saw that i was pouting so he brought me to Nagoya Hill Shopping mall's A&W for my long awaited waffles and curly fries. Guess what! NO MORE WAFFLES AND NO MORE CURLY FRIES?! I ended up with just a mug of rootbeer float. After our drinks we decided to head back to Mega Mall for J.Co and that ended our one day trip.

Somehow i wonder what happened to the seafood dinner, go-kart, kueh lapis factory so on and so forth... Haha! I will have go back again! I am so hungry while i am typing all these.. Time for lunch now! LOLOL! BYE!

Taipei, Taiwan Trip Day 4 (Last day!)

Read the previous Taiwan Trip post here:  ( Day 1 / Day 2 - Part One / Two / Day 3 - Part One / Two )

Finally i am at the last part of my first Taiwan trip. I would hope to go again some other day.

Well what took me so long to post this was because i went on a Batam trip earlier this week and also i got my Nintendo 3DS XL with the Pokemon X cartridge about two days ago and have not stop playing since. Plus recently I've started watching Running Man like many of you out there. My free time was mostly occupied with all these entertainments but i promise will blog about my short Batam trip soon!

We packed and checked out of our Vista hotel at around 11am and headed to 伍角船板 Five Dime Restaurant for lunch before the coach sent us to Taoyuan Airport. This was a very unique restaurant. Was very awed by it's artistic design.

Departure to Taoyuan International Airport..
We waited at the airport for 4 hours before we were able to check in. Yea i know 4 hours we can do more shopping but according to the guide, we are not allowed to leave the group. There goes our last few hours in Taiwan.

On our return flight, we had 卤肉饭 and really yummy fried bee hoon. Because i took med for motion sickness this time round (which i purchased it from a drug store at RaoHe Night Market), i managed to finish up everything and slept my way home.

GOODBYE TAIWAN! We will meet again soon!
