Found a new cafe located at 3 Simon Road (near Kovan MRT) days ago. Since it is walking distance from my house, decided to visit this place one late evening after dinner for desserts and coffee.
The exterior itself looks very cozy and inviting, with simple furniture but what i like are the tables. The tables legs are replaced with functional vintage sewing machine paddle. Nostalgic. It brought me back to my childhood days where mummy sewed quilts for brother and I using this type of sewing machine.
Youthful environment and good songs playing at the background.
We did not order a lot. But the usual beverages which we will order at Starbucks or any other cafes. Flat White and Matcha Latte. We ordered an additional stuffed shitake mushroom on top of our chosen desserts.
Carrot Square. Cream cheese topping. Somehow it reminded me that it tasted like fruit cake due to the excessive amount of raisins. I do not mind actually because i love raisins.
Wasabi White Chocolate Mousse. Interesting recipe. Something which i can never appreciate. Haha! Though it's just a mild after taste, but still.. Oh well you guys can go try it.
Ended the evening session with a hearty chat and some wine. Harpuku Sauvigon Blanc, New Zealand.
Overall, i think i will revisit for their main courses or brunch menu for food review again. But i will definitely be back for their coffee to chill over a weekend with a novel.
