Learning to say NO!

Has been a really hectic week with overtimes, salads, my reads and not forgetting The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries and High and lows, before i am aware of it, it is already Sunday! Or perhaps i slept too much. Fourteen hours from Friday night till Saturday late noon. Fantastic. Supposed to be lazing in bed reading right now but i just had mac thus decided i should drop by this boring space with some food photos.

Homemade salad while watching High and lows.

Meatballs spaghetti and brownie with ice cream.

Practice makes perfect but how do i perfect my weaknesses when all i do is run away from it. That is a lot for me to think. Yet contrary, i am thinking too much...

Goodnight.

Dinner Compilation

Haven't been out during lunch for the past one week. So grateful to my lovely colleagues whom packed lunch for me. Though i have never been to the actual store but after having their salad as lunch for the past few days, i seriously fell in love with the salad from a store at Amoy. The greens are always clean and crunchy. Fresh! It's cheap too! (comparing to salad from cafes/eatery in CBD area) S$2.50 for lunch, where can you get that?! (Okay i know right? bring from home.. -.- )

An impromptu dinner at Fish & Co as the last time i visited was four years ago. Swordfish collarbone & Black pepper grilled Cod fish with rice. Oh! I LOVE RICE! Picked Mediterranean rice for one of the sides. It was good! As the portions are large, i chose to finish the rice instead of the fish.

Quick dinner before movie. This was supposed to go before the TaiChi gala premier post as it was that night's dinner at The Asian Kitchen. Xiao Long Bao will definitely be one of the dishes at chinese restaurants. Tried Moonlight hor fun which was delicious but WHERE IS MY MOON? (referring to the egg yolk) Oh and luncheon fried rice to ease my rice craving.

One of the special weekend dinner. I call it special because it was not my usual diet. I take mostly white meat, seafood and veges, occasionally red meat and some other kind..
That night at Hot Tomato, it was my virgin try of the escargot. It wasn't too bad as what i tasted was more of the cheese and garlic. Just cannot comprehend the fact that it's a French culinary delicacy. Comparing escargots to top shell, okay i still prefer the marine snails..
Sirloin steak with grilled prawns and Ribeye steak for main course. Cheap and NICE! :D

Grandma's Restaurant on a Thursday night to rewards ourselves for that week's hard work. Ordered my favorite Honey Chicken with cashew nuts and tired their sambal sotong and broccoli in oyster sauce. After which, ended the day with a nice cup of coffee at Teadot cafe.

Friday's (yesterday) as i was on PM leave. Headed to Ichiban Boshi for the yummy half udon and salmon sashimi! Ordered the BBQ squid as well. Happy Lunch! :D

Nope, no photos today as i am home the entire day. Reading my Fifty Shades Darker, sipping Chamomile tea with honey, munching on cookies and online shopping.. great Saturday. Shall resume my usual routine tomorrow... Argh..

《太极之从零开始》Gala Premiere

 什么情况?!

Here you go, i admit. I am not a big fan of Kung Fu, except for Kung Fu Panda, for it's animated(?), BUT! after watching the《太极1 trailer on youtube, my curiosity took over me. Decided that i want to watch this movie!

And i was one of the lucky few to get a pair of tickets from omy to attend the 《太极1》Gala Premiere on Monday!!!

Collected the tickets right after dinner and obediently followed the crowd as we stood along the red carpet awaiting the arrival of Stephen Fong 冯德伦, Tony Leung 梁家辉 and Yuan Xiaochao.

After some waiting (seems like forever to me as my new heels are biting my feet), i became one of the screaming sardines that was smashed against the yellow grill for...

Stephen Fong look totally dashing! He was just standing RIGHT IN FRONT!!! *screams*

Found this on xinmsn for those whom weren't there.

"什么情况?!" is Luchan's (acted by Yuan Xiaochao) pet pharse. A down-to-earth and honest guy. Following his mother's wishes, he practice martial arts.
Encouraged by a medic at the battle field, he travels the distance to Chen Village to learn TaiChi, a legendary village where the villagers are forbidden to disclose TaiChi to the outsiders.

There, he met the toughest opponent, Yuniang, Master Chen's beautiful daughter (acted by Angelababy)....... His never-say-die spirit is admirable..

Also, every now and then there's animation pop out which is rather cute. It's as though you're watching a gamer play Capcom vs Marvel the 太极 version in RPG story-mode. HAHAHA!

Sounds complicated yet Interesting yea?! Go Watch and you'll know!!!

It's a relaxing and enjoyable movie especially suitable to watch after a long hectic day or to enjoy with your family on a weekend.

Speaking of which i can't wait to watch 《太极2:英雄崛起》!!! :D

Synopsis:

As an uncommonly gifted child, Yang Luchan had a fleshy abnormality that holds tremendous power growing on his forehead. However being teased as the town fool, Yang’s mother spurs him to practice martial arts, and following her wishes, Yang travels the distance to come to Chen Village to learn TAI CHI.
At this legendary village, everyone practices TAI CHI and uses TAI CHI in every aspect of their lives. Nevertheless, it is forbidden for a villager to disclose TAICHI to an outsider, and Yang learned this the hard way.
Upon arriving at the village, locals discourage Yang by challenging him with fights. From the strong men to hold ladies to children, everyone defeats Yang with their TAICHI moves. After facing the toughest battle and being defeated by Master Chen’s beautiful daughter Yuniang, Yang is determined to master the art of TAICHI and he needs to find Master Chen.
Little does Yang know, the poor strange man who he befriended with is in fact Master Chen who then saved him from the duel with Yuniang. Master Chen realizes Yang’s genius and disguises himself to secretly guide Yang to his self realization of TAICHI.
One day, a frightening steam-powered machine came to the village, lead by Fang Zijing, a childhood friend of Yuniang. He has bribed government officials to permit him to build a railway that will run straight through the village. Yang decided to join forces with Yuniang to defeat Fang Zijing and destroy the machine. This brave act may just win the hearts of the villagers….
