What took me so long?

All these are past events which i have yet to update.

Supposed to do this 3 hours ago but was distracted by other blogs and social networks. Added a blog title and did some slight changes to the blog layout. Hope it's easier for all to read now(?)

8 March 2012

Well i am a fan of Starbucks. Never fail to get my ice vanilla latte whenever i pass by an outlet. But there's this weekday afternoon that Starbucks at NEX is so packed, my friend and i decided to try out TeaDot. (it's her virgin visit as well haha)

The one which looks like teh-peng is called Lollipop Earl Grey. Tea with butterscotch. SUPER NICE! While the green one tasted just like the typical matcha. The pie is delicious as well but what disappoints me was their Tiramisu. It tasted like chocolate jelly. Overall, it's quite a nice place to catch up with friends, we chatted for over an hour, okay, i'm starting to miss the drinks.

Outfit for the day: Black tube jumper :D

10 March 2012

Got Stoner the "sky-tower" from Pet Safari @ NEX

This is Peanut Boy. Look how fat he have grown. *PROUD*

Before shopping for pet stuffs, we visited Goki Day AGAIN! It's an authentic Korean BBQ buffet place along Upper Serangoon. I super love their spicy chicken (must be wrapped in raddish), rice cake as well as the kimchi soup. YUMMY!!

Wore my fav Mango tank top that day lol!

3rd March 2012

Random: Toys R Us @ Vivo City after visiting Haw Par Villa and before movie, This Means War.
Speaking of which the movie is funny and Christopher Pine is OH-SO-CUTE! Totally worth watching and i guess i will buy the DVD once it's out. hehez.

The day started with me heading to FreshKon head office for the focus group. My first experience. Not much to talk about it as i am not allowed to "leak" any information. But there's this girl whom brought her Jap spitz along. The doggy is like the main focus as he is so cute! How i wish i can keep a dog like that.

Okay back to track, went Sleeping Rhino at Tower Fifteen. Well, the staffs are rather inflexible. Told them i do not wish to sit by the glass panel and they replied saying that those are the only available seats for 2 person. BUT the restaurant is rather empty, why cant we sit else where? Left after an hour or so due to the heat and eye discomfort from the sunlight.

Lonely wrap. No, i didnt use flashlight. It's sunlight.
Imagine that on me throughout the second half of the dinning session.

After high tea, we randomly trained to Haw Par Villa.
The last visit was when i was still in Primary school. Daddy drove us there. You peeps still remember this place? It's free admission now. Though there's a $1 fee for the "Gate of hell" visit.

Took me an hour to type all those? LOL! 3.30am! Need to sleep now. GOOD NIGHT! :D

A "bookworm's" life

29th February 2012, Leap Year.

2nd day:

Everyday felt as though tomorrow's Sunday.

An inspiring article from Cosmopolitan.
About 4 women goes dream/interest > monetary/status. I admire them. But somehow im still more on the materialistic side. haha.

Though, the article does not contribute to whatever i've done. I just see it as a time for me to move on as there's not much of a prospect. A group without a sensible leader, i doubt i can make it happening there. i am lost now to where i may end up, but for now, i know everyday's a chance where i can make it somewhere(:

Games: Draw Something.

Show you peeps an interesting Disney character that i've chanced upon while playing this game. A creative drawing by my cutest ex-colleague. Can you guess?

And i guess thats the best i can think of..

Books:

Definitions by Jeanette Aw.

Got this from Kino at the beginning of Feb. Took her almost 3 years to pen all these down. Mostly's about what she had gone through and her normal daily life when she's not working. I admire her professionalism after i read the chapter where her mum passed away while she was filming 'The Peak'. She can write. If you're someone whom like biography, you can pick up this book(:

Birthing the Elephant by Karin Abarbanl and Bruce Freeman

As stated on the sub title, THERE!

This book caught my attention on an impromptu visit to the library one fine day, as I was looking for a novel to pass time while waiting for my cousin to finish her school project at Starbucks.

It's a guide to surviving the ups and downs of entrepreneurship which covers psychological and emotional aspects of launching a business, on top of just how to write a great business plan.

The moment i pick up this book, i find it hard for me to stop reading. It relates to how we really think and why are doing it, as well as "educate" us on the right and wrong thinking before one really starts a business. Most of the time, after reading a small chapter, i will stop and think how i can apply what i've read, to my life.

A short 190 pages, very easy to read and digest. A book i'll like to recommend(:

Ya lah! i am taking my FTT. the book is brand new. yet to flip a single page. Can see how much it does not appeal to me. hahaha! Oh! and that's the IDIOT's guide. The "to dos" and "not to dos" while creating a blog shop.

It's 3pm now. HEAVY RAIN! Hopefully it will stop by 6.

Guess i'll take a short nap. Woke up at 9.30 am today. If you ask me why i wake up so early since i am not working... i do not want to mess up my body clock. So i'll still go to bed before 2am and wake up around 9plus, like when im still working.

Searching for that "dream job"... till then (:
